| Flag Day 2009 The photos in this video were taken during the Flag Day ceremonies at Pine Crest Cemetery. The P.L. Wilson Detachment, Semper Fi Riders and Patriot Guard were on hand to escort and present flags. At the beginning of the ceremonies, local Boy Scouts presented the new flag that would be flown. The Commandant of the P.L. Wilson Detachment, Cal Walters, spoke and introduced John Tyson, Sr. Mr. Tyson spoke both eloquently and poignantly about the preservation of honoring our nation's flag. Mr. Tyson reiterated what the Commandant said about the history of the flag. At the close of the ceremony was the destroying of the flag that had previously flown over the cemetery grounds. |
