| Kids Wishin' To Go Fishin' 2009 On Saturday, June 27th, 23 kids and a host of chaperones, friends, and members of the chartered bus and then were escorted by Semper Fi Riders and Mobile Police to the docks on Dauphin Island. The kids [along with adults] boarded a boat and over the next few hours on Dauphin Island. The kids [along with adults] boarded a boat and over the next few hours proceeded to haul in over 100 fish and even BIGGER tales of what got away. After getting back on dry land, the group helped themselves to hotdogs and cold drinks....there was even a little dancing to the music compliments of the dj!! After posing for the group picture, the kids were given gifts including fishing rods, tackle boxes, bait buckets and soft-side coolers. Afterwards, the group re-boarded the bus and were again escorted back to Mobile. All in all....a great day on and by the water!! |
